What it does

WTAS Studio is the test automation tool we use on our own delivery work: the recorder is fast, and the code it writes reads like code a test engineer would write.
Record and play back
A recorder for Edge, Chrome and Firefox, Windows desktop applications and Android or iOS apps. Continue a recording after any step and run recordings in a defined sequence.
Code your team owns
Selenium or Playwright with pytest, page objects and environments. On a paid plan the generated project is yours to copy, export and run anywhere, CI included.
Logic, data and business checks
If / else, loops and popup handlers, API and database steps, data-driven runs, and check-digit validators for GTIN, SSCC, AWB, IBAN, VIN, PAN and GSTIN.
Self-healing playback
Every element keeps several ranked locators. When one stops matching the next is tried, and the change is offered for approval. Playback waits for the application, not for fixed sleeps.

Step 1: Register
Create your account on WTAS Cloud. The 30-day trial starts at once — no card needed.
Step 2: Download
Sign in on WTAS Cloud and download the Windows installer from your account.
Step 3: Install and sign in
Install WTAS Studio and sign in with the same e-mail and password. There is no licence key to copy.
Step 4: Move computers any time
Sign out of the Studio on one computer to use your licence on another. A lost computer can be released from your account.

System requirements
What you need to run it
- WTAS Studio
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit; 8 GB RAM; 2 GB disk. Python is installed with it.
- Offline AI assistant
- 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended) and 3 GB more disk.
- Browsers
- Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox; drivers are downloaded automatically.
- Internet
- To sign in, and at least once every 14 days. The offline installers need none while installing.
- Team server
- A Linux server with Docker: 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 20 GB disk for a small team.

Trial, licensing and data
How does the free trial work?
Create an account on WTAS Cloud and the 30-day trial starts at once, with every feature on one computer. Download the installer from your account, install it, and sign in to the Studio with the same e-mail and password. There is no licence key to copy.
Can I keep the code the trial generates?
During the trial the generated tests run and can be read in the Studio, but the code cannot be copied or exported, and the project files on disk are not readable. Once you are on a paid plan the Studio writes plain, readable code that is yours to keep, change and run anywhere.
How is a licence counted?
Per computer signed in at the same time. To move to a new computer, choose “Sign out of this computer” in the Studio on the old one, then sign in on the new one. A computer that is lost can be released from your account.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The Studio checks in with WTAS Cloud twice a day and keeps working for up to 14 days without a connection. Offline installers include everything needed to install without internet access.
Where do our recordings and test data go?
Nowhere. Projects, recordings, test data and the local AI model stay on your computers. WTAS Cloud stores only your account, plan, the computers signed in and your downloads.
